Rackheath Players - Sixty Years 1953-2013

An update from the Rackheath Players 60th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Celebration Committee!

Rackheath Players are 60 years old and a celebration is being planned for all past and present adult members. The date has now been set for Sunday 12th May 2013 and official invitations will be sent out early in the New Year with further details. (Please note that this particular celebration is for past and present adult members and their partners only due to limited numbers at the venue, but of course Youth Theatre members and non-members are welcome to celebrate with the group at the 2013 productions!)
In order to keep costs down, a couple of fundraising events are being planned, but for these we need your help! We are in need of good quality raffle and tombola prizes - raffle prizes for the February production and tombola prizes for a stall at Christmas. Donations will be gratefully received by any member of the celebration committee.
If you wish to help with any fundraising, or have any questions about the celebration or any ideas to help us celebrate in style, please speak to a member of the committee.

With regard to the productions in our 60th year, we started the year with the musical "Return to the Forbidden Planet". In June we will be staging the first play The Players staged sixty years ago - "Such Things Happen".
In October 2013 we hope to stage a play that contrasts our June production - something quite modern.
